Amelia Island Plantation, Florida

A couple of weekends ago, I visited Amelia Island Plantation, on the Northeast side of Florida, close to the Georgia border. It was beautiful, and while the resort itself is huge, the beaches are relatively quiet and not at all crowded.
The resort offers single family homes, condos, and hotel rooms. They also have shops, many restaurants, an awesome spa that takes a holistic, natural approach, a nature center, a fitness center, and lots and lots of activities, like horseback riding on the beach.
It was a nice research trip. Seems like a long time ago now, with all these new work responsibilities ...

That's a place I'd definitely love to be this week, or any week ! Vacation always seems so far away on the succeeding Monday (or Tuesday) morning, when you're staring at the full desk, and it's looking back at you, saying "clear me !"

I can imagine how that would feel like so long ago. Anytime you come back from a trip, to face a pigsty that emerged where your clean desk once stood, and the pleathora of e-mails that filled your in-box requiring an immediate response, that feeling you had while you were away seems to fade away like that nice dream you experienced. Hopefully, you have good memories and lots of good information to share with your readers! :)

It truly seems very, very distant ...
