Music on My Blog!

* I just added another one, one I can't believe I didn't think of right away!! ; )

One of the new things I'm playing around with on this updated version of Blogger is the music video feature. If you scroll down a bit, you'll see that in the sidebar I've added a few songs for you to enjoy while you peruse my written meanderings.
I will try not to go too crazy with this feature - I do love music after all - but I make no promises. : )

"Girls Just Want to Have Fun." Funny how you can hear a piece of music, rock at least, and remember what was going on in your life when the song was big. When I first heard that, I was living in Austin, winter of 1983. I can remember that like it was yesterday.

MTV and music video became a big deal in the early 80's. I was just too late to catch that wave -- music video has never done much for me one way or another, although I am always playing music. My tastes though, have always been uber strange and eclectic. I still buy music by CD's, and I keep a CD player in the office. On Monday, you are likely to find me playing Avril Lavigne, on Tuesday, Mozart, on Wednesday George Strait, and so on until everyone is confused. Everyone knows to leave me alone when Wagner goes on (that means writer's block).

Just now, I have the Carpenters Christmas collection on, and all morning, I drove everyone crazy with this CD of Italian Party Music I bring out every so often. This afternoon, I think it will be Toto, or the Godfather soundtrack.

That's the best movie, too! It's one of my all-time favorites, seriously, and it was a staple at all my slumber parties. I love the dance scenes!!

I'm pretty eclectic when it comes to music, too. It just depends on my mood what I want to hear. Beethoven is great for thinking.
