Careful, or You Might ...

"Careful, or you might end up in my novel."
I saw that t-shirt design this morning, and it cracked me up. If I wore that, I wonder if people would take me seriously. Somehow, I doubt they would, and yet, they probably should ... :P

I don't know about you all, but I have sneezed at least fifty times in the last few hours, courtesy of that good, ol' cedar fever. Aah!

I don't know about the novel, but sometimes people are apt to wind up in my journal.

Miss Caroline - the way I have always felt about that is...

If people talk about me, or put me in their novel, or put me in their article (which has happened), or even put me in their blog, then I must be an interesting topic of conversation. If they don't talk or write about me at all, then I must be a really boring person.

It doesn't matter if what they talk/write about me is good, bad, or indifferent; everyone is entitled to an opinion. And most of the people I know will state their opinion! There are really no quiet people among my family and friends. Well, except my ex-wife, but I don't consider her a friend.

Your thoughts?

I'm not sure most people would be as philosophical about it! Generally, my characters are from scratch but have pieces of this person or that person. More "inspired by" than "based on."
