My Box of Dark Chocolates

Tonight Forrest Gump was on TV. I resisted watching it, but I'm glad I did. Sometimes it's good to be reminded of and feel reconnected with certain things - that at times blind idealism is best, that there may be really good things in front of us we're not recognizing and appreciating, and what I think is the most poignant message - that we all simply should do the best with what we are given.

All very true, but it doesn't necessarily make the box of dark chocolates enjoyable. Hopefully you find the Hershey's Kisses without almonds soon !

I feel like I should be deciphering some kind of code with your comment. ;)

Hmmmm...sometimes the box of chocolates is just a box of chocolates, and there's no message at the center.

Somebody at work had Hershey's kisses --- with almonds in them ruining that perfectly good chocolate. . . and then I fire up the computer and read your post about Forrest Gump and his boxes of chocolates.

Seriously, I've had boxes of dark chocolates at times in life, (I might post on some in a bit) and you're right, you just have to play the hand that's dealt you and just bash on with life.

See, we're coming from two different sides here. I like the Hershey's Kisses with Almonds better than just the regular Kisses. Hence, my confusion.

As far as boxes of dark chocolate, some of the pieces may be better than others, but, hey - it's still all dark chocolate. Yum! : )
