Winter Weather

Looks like I'm settling in for the next 36 hours or so as winter weather makes its way toward Austin. I ran around today doing errands, and now I have all of my "ICE" (in case of emergency) essentials - library books, ice cream, and home beauty products. :)
I'm good for a long time - although hopefully I'll be tackling my lengthy to-do list instead of continuing to watch Forensic Files, Psychic Detectives, Cold Case Files, and all those other shows on Court TV I love and rarely get to watch!

Can't imagine how bad winter weather can be in Austin. Bad enough that I've been trapped in Nebraska for the past 10 days having to live off of chicken-fried steak (still don't understand the concept of that) and no feta cheese (it's a Greek thing). I was told to spend the weekend in Austin but couldn't due to the bleeding weather. At least the football games were on and I had my Godfather trilogy to watch on my dvd. Hope your 36 hours went better than my 48

I remember Austin ice storms...no fun. We're waiting for our own ice festival in Houston. . .sorta thought it'd be last night, woke up and everything OK. Probably, we will get to work and kiddos to school -- and the thing will arrive at lunch time just to make getting home really interesting.

Was in New Ulm Saturday night...about floated away. Now it's freezing. No question, winter finally got here.
