Newly Published Stories

My latest articles for Texas Family Magazine are now out, one entitled, "Balancing Act: Balanced Kids, Happy Families," on the balancing act of overscheduling versus underscheduling kids, and another a Travel Feature Story on the coastal area of Matagorda, Texas.

Also, I am in Cecil Child Magazine for the first time with "Homework Hassles," and I am in About Families Magazine for the first time with "Teaching Work Ethic."

You can see more about me and my published works on my profile page or on various links at the right.
Remember, you always can reach my blog at CandidlyCaroline.com or CarolineShearer.com.

Just read your article on "Homework Hassles" on the website. Really great article. I don't have any kids yet but I found myself saying that I wish this material was around when I was growing up. I may have ended up much better off.

Great article.

Thanks! I know - I feel like I will be quite prepared - theoretically, at least - to raise children because of all of these articles I write. I learn a LOT!!

Yianni, how do I find your blog?

QoS.

Hate to admit it, but I stumbled on your blog months ago (sure you've at least SEEN some of my comments) and have checked in every-so-often since. usu once a week.

I remember your posting about being the single woman at a function full of married women and their attitude towards the fact that you're still not married. I found it hard to believe that in this day & age that there are people in this world like that.

I enjoy reading about what goes on in other people's neck of paradise. You know that there are at least 3 regular readers (didn't you ask if people actually read your blog once?)

Yianni,
I know you've been around a while - you're good at leaving comments.
A surprising amount of people visit my site each day, but very few leave comments. That's probably to be expected, though.
